London Stansted welcomed over 1.89 million passengers during its busiest ever March as the airport’s annual passenger total topped 23 million for the first time since July 2008.
The record breaking month also helped Stansted register its busiest ever winter season as over 8.65 million passengers passed through the airport during the five month period ending March 2016, beating the previous season high set in winter 2006/07.
